I presume that the new water pump also means new timing belt (presuming these didn’t have a chain). For the area, 106k miles is pretty standard. It’s a hair below the national average, but things in NOVA/DC/MD are close as the crow flies, but it’s lots of time in traffic. So those are probably hard miles, although Elkton is a bit further out so YMMV (pun intended). Ultimately $1,600 seems a bit cheap for a reliable, relatively low mileage car... I’m wondering what else is wrong...

If it wasn't a scam, yes. I'd consider most cars a good deal at $1,600 but that's very dependent on having a clean title and being mechanically sound.

That is kind of my thing. At that price I am assuming he is not mentioning something. But at that price...it is local so why not go take a look, ya know?

It’s better written than most of these CL scams... Usually it’s 2 pictures of an impossibly clean Cummins Ram with 1 interior picture of a Cavalier for $1,200 and 6 lines of complete gibberish.

SE-Rs had the Vq, which used a chain. Though the badge could be a lie.
